MONTHLY GIVING PROGRAM

Be a WARM Bridge Builder!

Join our monthly giving program to ensure a firm foundation for WARM to be the bridge between the church and our city's refugees.

As a Bridge Builder, you’ll provide a firm foundation for WARM to continue on a strong footing.

Given our busy world, a solid commitment to give monthly to what really matters without having another thing to do is simple and rewarding. It allows WARM to plan for steady, reliable support so we can focus on serving our community.

Your Impact:

$25 - one student backpack

$50 - one volunteer trained and onboarded

$75 - one apartment set up for a new arrival

$100 - online ESL or driving instruction for one refugee

$250 - one day at the WARM Learning Pod

$other - smaller or greater, your donation makes a difference!

You make a way to welcome the nations at our doorstep.

Event Space

EVENT

SPACE

Help build connections

Do you have a church building, office space, or living room?

We are regularly looking for meeting space for training workshops, events to serve refugees (such as Christmas and Easter celebrations), and our volunteer connection meetings (every other month). We also have been hosting special events like baby showers.

If you would like to support these events by offering your space, please contact us. One-time or recurring offers are both welcome.

Backpack Project

BACKPACK

PROJECT

Help students succeed

WARM has helped provide backpacks and school supplies to children in need, identified by the refugee resettlement agency we work with. Our volunteers personally delivered the backpacks to the homes of refugees. Thanks to your help we have raised over $1,3oo to supply 50 backpacks!

If you are interested, you can donate to WARM's backpack ongoing project to provide for newly arriving families.

Each backpack with supplies costs $25.

Where to donate

WARM no longer accepts donations of household items or furniture.

Instead, we have discovered three other organizations who are already doing an excellent job of offering household items to refugee families. Please contact them directly to donate your items. We will bring refugee families to these locations.

What to donate

Please contact the organizations listed above for specific details on what they accept. Here are some items that we often use for setting up apartments for newly-arrived families:

  • tables and chairs

  • beds

  • upright bureaus

  • shelves

  • love seats*

  • mirrors, clocks, lamps

  • dishes, cutlery, cookware, utensils

  • linens and wool blankets

  • pictures and decor

  • shower curtains and window curtains

  • rugs and welcome mats

  • mattresses (accepted by Fresh Start and CMHA)

Please ensure that your items are clean and in excellent working condition. We want our gifts to be a testimony to the love of God for refugee families.

*Many of the apartments we set up are on the 2nd or 3rd floor with narrow stairwells and 29-inch doorways, so large sofas or fold-out couches may not work as well.
