• Heal from trauma and be comforted from loss

• Be welcomed in their new communities

• Locate affordable housing and living wage jobs

• Find education to develop English proficiency and job skills

• Have good health and recovery from medical conditions

• Find true peace

• Meet followers of Jesus who welcome them

• Seek God and find Him

 

FOR CHURCHES

• Become passionate about reaching out to refugees in our community.

• Give generously with their time and resources.

• Build strong teams, so that individual volunteers feel supported not strained.

• Partner together, sharing their different gifts and experience.

• Spend time praying for refugees.

• Prioritize our relationship with God.

• Respond wisely as government policies change.

• Be good advocates for refugees.

• Invest time in training others well.

• Ask for God's wisdom as we determine where to strategically focus our energy and resources.
