About The Event
Our next Hope Group begins July 23rd, 2025 and will run on Wednesday mornings from 10am-12pm for 8 weeks, with the last meeting on September 10th.
Hope groups provide culturally appropriate mental health support for women who are experiencing depression. They are designed to benefit women who come from group-oriented cultures (like many refugees) and use Interpersonal Group Therapy to help people cope with and ease the symptoms of depression. Many refugees experience intense depression as a result of the trauma and life-changes that they've been through, and there isn't a lot of culturally sensitive mental/emotional health care available to them. With Hope Groups, WARM seeks to serve the felt needs of refugees and fill this gap in their care.
This Hope Group will serve Dari-speaking Afghan women. We need a lot of help in order for this group to run smoothly, and you can make a difference in a woman's life by taking care of her kids…
