About The Event
Volleyball volunteers needed for six Thursdays starting July 3, from 10:00-12:00.
This program is for refugee teen girls to come together in a positive and supportive environment to learn new volleyball skills, exercise, and build relationships with each other and with WARM volunteers. Refugee teen girls face many unique challenges as they navigate adjusting to a new country and culture. In this girls-only program, we want to promote healthy life practices like moving your body and having fun, in a safe and judgment-free environment.
Our biggest need is transportation because this is the biggest obstacle that prevents refugee youth from engaging in programs but you are also welcome to sign up as a volunteer to come out and join us as a support for the program, whether you have volleyball experience or not! You will help to facilitate the program and be there to build relationships with the ladies.
